I would imagine a number of old, I was about to type "real" but your's was as real and any of theirs, Viking funerals didn't go as planned. I had a couple of Burial at Sea details that weren't flawless.

And to all of you who suggested Adam was laughing at the entire ordeal, you are absolutely correct. He had a way of rolling his eyes and shaking his head at me when I was saying or doing something "over the edge" and I kept picturing him doing so that day. Will R... your goat tribute story inspired me - really!! LOL!! (Now I really see Adam rolling his eyes...)
