Inquire about the expiration date. Have you considered feeding raw food? THK is rather expensive to feed to a large dog on a permanent basis...
If you are interested in learning about raw feeding, there are lots of experienced raw feeders here who can help to get you started...( as well as good info in the e-book section )
And you can add raw to THK...

Kevin, if THK is out , and you do not want to feed raw, another option would be a grain-free kibble.
Have you inquired about grain-free at your pet food supplier? (Orijen and EVO are two good ones, and I think they are both made in canada)
Also, I don't recall seeing it mentioned, but adding a tablespoonful of plain, cultured yogurt may be beneficial in helping stop the diarrhea.
You may want to try some digestive enzymes to add to your dog's food. Leerburg sells them...
