We are looking to purchase a DS from working lines. As you know, searching the internet can be a daunting task and I would like to hear any suggestions from forum members. We have been in touch with Vandalia Kennels as they have a recent litter of gorgeous DS.
Bumping this up. I have to believe that with over 10000 ppl registered here that some of you folks can give some recommendations, or even advice in choosing a reputable breeder of Dutchies.
In my research I have found DS from both UKC and KNPV lines. Which do you think would be the better route to take? This DS will be trained as a K9 and will work part time with our local sheriffs dept but we also are looking for one that can be part of our family.
Pricing I have found ranges from 750.00 to 3500 for a puppy. Upwards of 10,000 for an adult with some training. What would one expect to pay for say a 5-9 month old Dutch Shepherd that is from good working lines, with good prey and ball drive, a good bite but also stable and friendly enough to be a part of a family?
Please help me with any information you can give me. I really appreciate your time.
