I was reading through Cindy's comments about separation anxiety.
I'd never thought of using an ecollar for anxiety. I knew it could stop the escallation with my Labsl. But my Lab Lucy used to bark frantically from her kennel at the lawnmower. I put on her bark collar and in that instance she went wild with fear. The neighbors thought I was killing her but could see I was across the yard.(crazy moment). After that I just put her inside in a crate while I mowed. So I have never thought of using it for stressed behavior.
I also have an odd dog blend. A Saluki x Pointer/husky.We have had him (and babied him) for almost a year. I found out this past weekend that his frantic vocalizing and pawing at the crate has turned from fear and anxiety to simply demanding me to attend to him.
I'm a Lab girl so this guy is a real challenge. I ended up writing his "blog" this morning. Kind of long but if your interested and can add any insight or critique the blog.
