.... Teach him to discriminate between different scents (my keys have a leather fob that has coconut extract on it and the dogs can find my keys for me based on the scent, TV remote has a piece of gauze in the battery compartment with lemon extract on it... ). ....
When my young GSD had a foot injury, we played a game I called floor tug.
Basically, she had to stay in a down, and we'd play quiet tug...if she started to get up, game over. She loved it, and we played it her whole life, especially once she'd earned the right to get up on the bed with us.
Thank you all love all these ideas happier dog and happier me we will live through these 4 weeks thanks Jennifer for making my signature post. Wonderful ideas he is just on his 3rd day I hope it heals by itself it is the 4th toe on his left side he gets so excited he ran into the wall but he is a wonderful dog.

I did practice the leave it and give and that was great plus the tug of war laying down that worked relly well and I paired it with the give command, a clicker and hot dogs thanks you all he is getting more active and run inside when not in the crate so he need a lot of stimulation. the box video was great too so I followed up thanks everybody.
