I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi that likes to sleep at my feet. However, if I bump her while she's sleeping...she totally attacks my foot and is very aggressive. What can I do to stop this behavior?
If you reach down and touch her with your hand when she's sleeping, does she have the same reaction? (sorry for the 'twenty questions', but I'm trying to get a clear image of what she's doing...)

Sounds to me like sleeping at your feet just isn't an option anymore. She's behaving like a dog and imo if I'm woken out of a sound sleep I may not be completely responsible for the utterances out of my mouth either for a couple minutes.
Teach her a place command for sleep or learn to say something before you move the chair. The rule of never poking a sleeping dog is as old as keeping your hands out of their food while they're eating or pulling their tail. The only way to stop this behavior is by either making the dog not asleep OR making the dog sleep somewhere where you're not going to poke them.

Edit reason: spelling is aw3some
She is not aggressive if I pet her while she is sleeping. She's actually a very cuddly dog. She's seems to see my feet as a separate enity..I thought maybe it was her herding instinct trying to keep my feet still...she's very sensitive to movement.
OK. Well, it doesn't sound like this is a pack structure problem if she only shows this behavior when you nudge her with your feet.
Melissa's option may be the best choice, but you could play around w/ desensitizing her to foot movement. If you are going to do this, I would start when she's not sleeping and mark and reward for calmness when you move your foot near her. Start with as little movement as possible and build up to more movement, and eventually a light touch with your foot.
You are doing marker training (clicker-type training) with her?
