A liberal application of bitter apple might be in order. Trust me after she gets a mouthful of something nasty from it a few times she's going to leave those socks alone. If the bitter apple fails to impress her in small amounts soak a paper towel with it and stick it in her mouth. Hold her mouth closed for a few seconds and then let her spit it out. Makes a very big impression on the dog. They'll avoid anything that even slightly tastes like bitter apple after that.
Hi Everyone: Just wanted to say that I tried the E collar and
had no more problems with the sock attack on my husbands poor
foot, however I also figured out that Luna is collar wise. She
acts like a perfect lady when the collar is on. At no time did I
have to "push the button" to correct her for attacking my husbands foot. After a few days wearing the collar I took it off
and since then she hasn't tried to grab his foot. I'm keeping
my fingers crossed. Cathy - If this happens again I just might try the bitter apple application you suggest. Steve - those socks! Never gunna happen!!
Betty, maybe you should go through the collar conditioning all over again before she decides to test the boundaries if the socks look extra tasty one day...
