I wouldn't take a puppy to a working trial, if I were you. Especially a high level event.
Shade is going to be at a premium. You won't be allowed to take your dog inside the venue, usually. And there is a lot of people being very focused at the task at hand, so you can't really view the event as a chance to socialize your puppy.
Leave him at home, and just come to watch the competitors.
Will is right...you will have to leave the pup locked up in your vehicle...and won't be able to take him into the stands with you. And it has happened at a couple big events that dogs have been stolen out of trailers!
My pup's Uncle is in K9 training in Bakersfield so maybe he'll be competing. Do working police dogs compete as well, or is that something they stop when they become working odgs?
