I'm trying to gather clothing and other materials needed for donation but would also like to know of dog-related organizations I could donate to.

This Foundation provides trained dogs to FEMA and SUSAR teams. Some of their dogs are in Haiti right now. http://www.searchdogfoundation.org/98/html/index.html My FEMA USAR team was not deployed to Haiti (we were much further down on the rotation this month), but we also have a non-profit that you can donate to. A donation to this non-profit will help fund our canine program, if you ear-mark the donation specifically for that. Our dogs were deployed to the World Trade Center on 9/11 and have worked several other disasters/deployments. http://www.matf.org/Donations.html Also, please NEVER donate to the Bear Search and Rescue Foundation or Scott Shields. I'm sure he's parading himself around somewhere right now, attempting to get people to give him money.
