... That said...the first video was pretty good training in my book...except the 2 dog deployments. I understand they want to build the dogs' confidence but, only when the dog by himself will you know for sure what he is made of. ... I'd rather have the dog feed off the handler instead of another dog. With 2 or more dogs it becomes a competition between them. There is also the hierarchy issue with more than one dog. JMO
Also, the dog would hardly ever experience real-life multi-dog deployments ... ?
Would that be right, Howard?
Certainly not answering for Howard. In my experience, other than demonstrations for the ohhhs and ahhs, multiple dog deployments are exceedingly rare.

Thanks everybody.I start getting clarity. I am from India and I follow these guys closely since they are the only ones training dogs for real work in India.Rest of the dog people in my country are only show guys. You all will also be surprised that we do not have even sports of any kind here. And I must also credit them for bringing the Malinois into this country.
All of you are well read and will be aware of the threats we face from our immediate neighbors. I guess we will need such dogs and many many more to counter them in some way. Like the US is doing in Iraq or Afghanistan or like the Israelis did in Gaza.
I also did see the french deploy multiple dogs. Even some clips from the Israel dogs show multiple dogs deployed.
So can I assume that there is nothing wrong training this way for real street work? Of-course I did read that the real bad world out there is different but to get there one needs to train dogs on such scenarios before hand so that when they get to the real streets and action they will not be stressed.
Once in twenty years we have done it and it was a substitute for deadly force. Though controversial in some circles, it was appropriate in these circumstances. I can quote the mentally disturbed suspect once we could interview him; "thank you for not killing me".

Also, cool videos of training dogs to be environmentally sound (or really capitalizing on genetic nerve strength). I wish there was more work done like this with pups.
It is certainly grounded in prey work and shows some really nice dogs.
