Yet one more day of snow.... we never get this much snow! Kids out of school again. But, they are enjoying it, just such a mess with kids and dogs in and out.
Paula, I feel your frustration as it is mine as well.
I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and we just got that snow in spades! (12.5 inches in a 24 hour period!)
While it is a blast to play in with the dogs, and so pretty to look at.... it has melted almost as fast as it came down, and now my yard is such a mud pit!
So, for now, no playing in my yard with the dogs until it dries up and double the length of time on walks until it dries out.
Plus, we have been doing a lot more "hide the toy" so they can
find it. They seem to understand when the weather gets bad.
Mopping the floor is a constant, and I keep these microfiber towels by the door for wiping paws and their bellies.
Anyhow, it seems that almost all the states have had some incredible snow falls for their areas. Good ol' El Nineo! (sp?)
My yard may never be the same, we had a very wet autumn followed by lots and lots of snow which has stayed on the ground for weeks at a time - so very rare for us!! I don't leave the house wihtout my muck boots on... With that said, I've enjoyed it and Falcon has especially had a blast. I'm working on getting him to walk through a pan of water to at least get the bulk of the mud off before I attack him with the towels, but it is a work in progress....
