I absolutely hate what's happened to the show GSD in this country. I love GSDs but would never have one from show lines because of the extreme it's been taken to. They look like they're crippled. it's heartbreaking to watch them.
That said, I do enjoy conformation as well as performance/working trials. I went to my first UKC shows a few months ago, showing my TFT (dual UKC, AKC registered) in the puppy classes. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have definite plans to get her titles at both ends in both registries (hopefully).
