When Max was a pup we starting calling him Maxy-moo, it just rolls off the tongue.
Then it shortened to Moo, and now when I really want his attention I call him MooMoo in a high pitched voice.
He doesn't really have a middle name for when he's "in trouble" so sometimes we call him Maximus.
...she used to respond to anything that sounded remotely similar to "Dolly."
It got a lot worse in my house...besides all the silly names, I'd call my dog the same things I call my spousal unit...sweetheart, honey, etc. So, anytime I'd say "hey honey," and both were in the same room, they'd both respond and neither knew who I was addressing (hint: it was usually the dog ).
