All the dogs from multiple agencies had strong responses to the narcotics training aides. No formal or semi formal testing here although the handlers had no idea what I had placed in the training areas.
They were told to not reward on the finds (I told them to treat this as scenario based testing...so just as if they were working on the road and were given an assignment).

Thanks for the update Kevin. At least from your end, K9s trained on real narcotics are hitting on ScentLogix. Your findings are the same as with over 1500 trained K9s from all over the world (from India to Canada) that have been exposed to scentlogix narcotics training aids. Also, the fact that K9s trained on scentlogix narcotics training aids came 1st and 2nd in narcotics detection at the 2009 USPCA Top Dog competition says something about product efficiency too. A lot of people might criticise competitions held by associations but it is still one of the more legitimate forums for comradeship and competition that the detector K9 community has.
Dave, i hope that your system will allow you to try the training aids that i have magnanimously decided to send to you. We are all in the dark when it comes to scent detection and as we know more about this area of science, it is in our own best interest to share such information. It is also in our best interst to try to learn more things to implement within our detection programs so that those that are really searching and patrolling the streets can get back home safely. Everyone that knows me know that i am more passionate about this than about selling my product. Unlike when i first came onto this forum a few years ago, this product has already started selling itself and i do not need to have the salesman experience that i thought i would need to develop before the comunity starts to believe in a non-parent aid. For the sake of your program and your officers, i hope that you will try these products out as it sure can, and will, enhance your training efficiency. And, if they do not allow you to try it, could you not just use it as a distractant and see what happens?

Dave, if i might just clarify things a bit further, i am not asking you to buy the product neither do i have the intention of giving you any money for using it nor taking any from you to use it. As was the case when Kevin evaluated the product for no money, no accolades, no thank you's, no advertisements or any other type of deals, this is really for the benefit of the search-and-detect community. You are very active within these and many other forums that has to do with K9s and everyone knows your opinion about non-parent training aids. Now, imagine if all your K9s hit a non-parent training aid. I think that you will have a lot to say, think and write about that will be of benefit to the young members of the community, and most members of this forum. This will be a nice education for us all; one worth waiting for.
As far as your legal department is concerened, i think that you should have no problems. Remember, you do not train your K9s on explosives or narcotic MATERIALS, you train your K9s on explosives or narcotic ODOR. As long as your K9 is certified on the real stuff, it makes no diffrence what you train with. As i understand from Terry Fleck, a K9 is rated as an expert in court not because of its training proficiency or history per-se but because of its certification (any one that knows Terry can email him to verify this). This being said, our training aids are not there to replace the real thing (since K9s need to be certified on the real thing to hold their legitimacy) but it makes certification easier to acheive.
I await the time that you will be able to test out these training aids. If you have any questions that need to be answered before you can reach a descision, please do let me know as i will happy to address them.

Hi David Frost, it has been over 60 days and i am still awaiting your acceptance to test the products. You are so, so, so sure that your K9s will not alert to ScentLogix. If so, do you really need your lawyers to give you the "go ahead" to check out these products? Can you not simply use them as distraction odors and see how the K9s react to their presence? Being a "top-of-the-chain guy who does not believe in "pseudos" but still wants the best for his team, are you not very keen to know if ScentLogix really works?
Mr. Adebimpe. First off, I never said my dogs would not hit ScentLogix. I don't know that because I haven't tested it. Contrary to what you might think, I don't make snap judgements. Acutually, yes I do need a lawyers "go ahead". I'm not in private business, I'm a government employee. To be honest, I'm backing out of the ScentLogix discussions on this board. I just don't need the aggravation. I don't appreciate the implications, the involvement of a moderator and for that matter the board owner. I wish you well with your product. Perhaps someday I'll see I was wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.
