I think our chicken issue might go beyond pickiness. I noticed yesterday that after eating a little chicken she vomited immediately and then ate around the partially digested chicken at both meals. Last night she stole food for the first time and this morning after eating and vomiting, she was scratching like crazy.
This morning before work I caught her trying to eat one of her rope toys.
She has a prior history of bad stomach reactions to chicken based kibble, so I'm thinking chicken just doesn't agree in any form.
So I went tonight and picked up Innova Evo red meat formula, its the only grain free, chicken free dog food I could find. She ate like a pig!
I still would like to do partially raw, so now my question is that if I feed one meal of Evo, should the raw meal be just RMBs or should it also contain some muscle meat?
So far she has really done well with oxtails, lamb ribs and pork neck bones. For meat so far she is good with beef, pork and fish.
We had one bout of loose stools after a lamb and pork dinner, but I think it may have just been too much fat at one time. She has been fine with either on every other occasion.
I haven't tried turkey yet, but I do have some wings and necks in the freezer.
When she was little I tried THK and she wouldn't eat it, but it was just a few samples my friend got for me while doing a charity walk for the MSPCA. She might eat it if I gave it another chance, but I think it would probably take some convincing.
