She is such a great pup and my first shepherd. Great drive and temperament, so far a great ScH prospect for me. We drove 12 1/2 hours to pick her up (and 14 1/2 on the way back!) but she was definitely worth it!
Niomi, she is just adorable! I love her sable coloring and even more the intensity of her gaze in the second picture where she is by herself.
What a handsome looking pack. Congrats on your newest member!
Love your Northern dogs, and a super nice looking pup. Keep us updated! Having driven through Whitehorse, I'd guess you'd have to drive pretty far to get most anywhere?
Thanks for the compliments on our new girl. She is 10 weeks today and a total hoot! She can sit, down, heel, focus, weave, spin and of course play tug. Everything was done with good ol' marker training!
Yes, it does take a while to drive anywhere. Everywhere you look is bush! But I LOVE it up here, we don't have to go very far to hike ALONE with our dogs. There is a trail up the road from us that I have walked MANY times (weekly), and never once have I see another human or dog. It leads to a beautiful lake so the dogs can go swimming and then we head back home. We do however have to watch for wildlife, so the dogs are trained to stay on the trail and not go in the trees. Five seconds in the bush and my friends dog came out with a face full of porcupine quills!
