I have only raised 3 different puppies in the last 11 years at home but with all of them they started making it through the night (about 8 hours) somewhere between 10 and 12 weeks. I also had better luck with my two females. The male was good at about 12 weeks. These were german shepherds and malinois. I don't know if ridgebacks mature slower or faster.
It is a fact that a 10 week old puppy will be able to last longer than an 8 week old puppy because of the physical development. I can't say for sure that your 10 week old will make it all day but you have a much better chance by waiting if you can't find another solution to your problem.
Again, Thank you for your response and helpful advice,I will talk to the breeder and see if she wil be willing to keep the puppy until the latter is at least 10 weeks old.
