Randy, what came to my mind was that if you put pressure on a pup with a lot of OB work, the pup could get somehow afraid to make a mistake. Consequence suffer his prey drive. Now Randy, that was my thinking before I took in consideration marker training. I was in the era of pop and jerk for corrections in OB training. I guess, marker training will make a dog less prone for that to happened. If I am off base, is maybe I am Dim. I will have to go out to the club to see if methods have change, it has been over two years since I train or had a dog there. Not everyone knows about the good information on this site. Dan

Dan,
What (I think) I was thinking about your question was, that there isn't any cookie cutter way to get there, marker training not with standing.
Each dog is going to need a little more of this. Each owner is going to require a little more of that.
Some how or another it all comes together.
Just stay engaged with your dog.....it'll be okay.
Connie, Are you calling me an old dog? (Smile) Whoa! what a dog, and handler. I have started to do the marker training, just did not know how far it could go with out Dancing. I have seen some good dog, handler fights on certain exercise. I was always going to get the marker CD. But now is a must. Thanks. Dan
