I am not much of a media enthusiast, and have seen first hand how they can sensationalize and edit to create their shows. I don't know about this Service Dog Organization, but I can't imagine the basic OB was not taught, certainly the jumping up on kids! I can see, programming that aims at showing/creating enthusiasm with the initial meet and greet.
As good of a feeling that I get working with service dogs, puppyraising/training, it's sad to see them go, mine just left,{well trained } so i am feeling rather sad , but I know he will make a wonderful dog for his placement!
I thought it would have been interesting to see the dogs "down the line" after the OB and settling in and how well they work then. I did think that most of them were NOT working well in the clips they showed but realized it was a fast transition. Might have come together better with a follow up filming.
They did show "Wagner" the Lab after a month or so at home, doing a great job of getting the mail for his person (adult man in wheel chair since car accident) Their relationship looked pretty happy and successful
