I've done searches here but haven't found anything. I know dry food is not popular here, but wonder if it might be acceptable?

There is grain in it but, in many of the varieties, meat ingredients are the first two ingredients. K-9 Knitter

Its listed as just chicken, which means they're including its water content. Once its extruded, it actually falls lower on the ingredient list. In reality the first ingredient is chicken meal, followed by rice.

I've seen worse (way worse). I'd love to understand "natural chicken flavor," though, but it's one of those mysteries of nature. I've seen it before, but so far the clearest description was not all that clear: "Another common chicken-based ingredient is natural chicken flavor, also called chicken digest. Natural chicken flavor adds palatability and nutrients. It is high-quality protein and fat material that has been reduced to amino and fatty acids to improve taste through an enzymatic process" is what Iams says. I know that I hardly ever add flavor to food by reducing it to amino and fatty acids to improve taste through an enzymatic process.
