His ears look good to me. At that age they all have a kind of silly tepee head. Or you may get one up and one down. Don't be surprised if the ears go up and down during teething--it happens. If his ears are up, they'll go back up. If his parents have up ears, his will be up. Some breeders recommend taping or glueing ears to "help" them stand up. (I'm not convinced it does much--although we did it on our breeder's recommendation. Proabably just makes a worried owner think they are doing something useful.) There are lots of techniques out there for glueing and taping ears.
Tracy, YOU have made my day, as I walk him, (Chico), a see those floppy ears, and even thou I have that gut feelings that he will be OK. It brings me back to my second GSD that one ear never went up. Thanks, Dan

I agree with Tracy. The ears are pretty typical of a GSD of that age. If you look on the Leerburg site or watch some of the videos with younger GSD pups in them, you will see SEVERAl with the ears just like Chico, and none of them had any problems with ears not standing.
They will go up and down with teething too, like Tracy said, so be prepared for that. In my experience, once the ears have stood, they will come back up.
My Mal Toni has HUGE ears, and if they can stand, your pup's will be fine
Thanks Kelly, I believed Chico will be fine, specially looking at his small head that has not grown, give me lots of hope, plus experts in subject matter at hands. Thanks Kelly. Dan

When Falcon was younger someone at a Schutzhund training place asked me "is his head ever going to catch up to his body?" I was horrified - his head WAS smaller in proportion to the rest of his body, AND one ear was a bit cock-eyed... HORRORS!! I feared Falcon would grow up looking like a Tick.. all body and very little head.
He's a beauty. Normal head. Straight ears. ...Still from a German showline, but other than that, he is good. LOL!
Hi Barbara, I just woke from a nap, and as I open your post, I laugh and smile. You also made my day "Falcon would grow up looking like a tick" What a beauty He is. still LOL. Dan
