Recently I've been letting my dog play with a Husky belonging to a couple across the complex. Originally they met when the husky's leash broke and I used my dog to lure him out of the road into the field in the complex. They ended up playing together and since apparently the husky has never been able to play with another dog whenever we see each other outside myself and the other owner let the dogs play together.
This husky has NO dog manners. He was a rescue at 3 years old (he's about 5-6 now) and though they tried all sorts of training with him he clearly missed some important socialization things that you really can't train in. He's not aggressive (he's a lump of wiggly happy pup). Since I've let Ryuk play with this dog the husky's behavior had improved ten fold and the other day we had a third dog (one Ryuk regularly meets) join us and all three dogs played perfectly together, something the husky has never been able to do. Ryuk will correct the husky as he does small puppies, but he has this incredible tolerance for this husky's obnoxious behavior that has previously gotten this dog attacked when he tried to interact with other adult dogs . I do have to wonder. Ryuk's had a lot of influence on this dog's behavior...do I have to worry about his own manners slipping? He still has regular positive interactions with perfectly normal happy adjusted dogs (dog trails/parks and what not) and thus far he's still behaving normally. Though I'd like to double check to make sure...
My personal opinion and experience is that No, you haven't ruined Ryuk. I have fostered and adopted and worked with dogs with no social understanding that learned from other dogs. I haven't seen any decline in the socially adequate dog's personalitys or interactions.

Sounds like Ryuk is a good friend for this husky.
that's what I was hoping, that the learning would all be the husky from Ryuk...not my pup going "hmmm, I think I'll start humping everything, barking in dogs faces, not listening to 'GTFO' doggy body language"...I mean he does none of that now...I'd reeeeeeally like to keep it that way lol
