Well, I took Will's advice when it comes to self defense against dog attacks, and got a walking stick. I didn't really want to because I'm lazy and don't want to have to carry it! But Kasey and I were fed up with getting attacked by dumb people's dogs. I ordered the stick from a place in Texas where, unlike California, they must actually be able to cut down trees to acquire sticks (when my husband saw how much I had to pay for a stick, he said he's in the wrong business!). Anyway, yesterday Kasey and I set out on our first walk with the stick (I had practiced different poses in front of the mirror to see which one would make me look 'tough' in front of an attack dog!). When we got home from our walk, my husband asked me how it went - "did you have to use the stick to fight anything off", he said? He's still shaking his head at me - I told him "yes, I did as a matter of fact - I nearly got attacked by this big killer bee, and if it hadn't been for the stick, I for sure would have gotten stung!" He's still not sure that being saved from a bee is worth $40! If you're afraid of bees like I am, it definitely is! Thanks Will!
Hey, a little extra security, whether from dogs or bees can never be a bad thing! I walked out my back door the other day and before I knew it, I got stung twice and then the little bugger ended up inside my T-shirt! Why I didn't think to simply smack it, but instead I came out of that shirt so darn fast!! LOL! Thank goodness I live out in the boonies a little bit! If only I had had a big stick!!!

Hey, bees down shirts is a serious matter! I have a friend who got a wasp down the front of her shirt and it stung her 6 times before she could get it out of there! Not sure she would have wanted me to whack her there with a stick though!
