I was wondering if anyone has any experence with joint training?
I will be picking up the Plans NCO slot once I get back to Fort Jackson (if all goes as planed) and am wanting to network and get some training with different agency's for two main reasons, to get to new areas to train and with their training aids, and also its good to see how other people do it.
Anyhow who I am mainly interested in working with is ATF, DEA, FBI and the local Leo's are easy to get a hold of.
Anyhow I was hoping someone has experience with setting up training like this.
Ft Jackson is such a large installation, I'm going to wager that a lot of the LEO agencies in the state probably have trained there in the past and have a working relationship with the base in some form.
If not, it won't take much to get them excited about the prospect of having access to to all the ranges and training areas.
If there are National Guard MP units that drill on Ft Jackson, they'll be another good resource, as usually they have a lot of connections with outside agencies. If you can get the number to the South Carolina National Guard's Joint Operations Center, they'll have a ton of contact info for you.
Ask for their Counterdrug Operations NCOIC. He'll know how to contact local DEA and FBI folks.
