Others will be more helpful; my dogs aren't puppies. Still, these are the things I do to minimize the possibility of any unwanted dog-guest interactions -- even if it's just begging for belly-rubs. lol
Crating him is not a problem when guests come in for a few hours. However our family members visit us few days at a time. They usually dont pet him. As for biting, he does it for no obvious reasons. Sometimes when he is playing and sometimes when nothing is going on and he is calm.
I am more concerned about him barking and trying to bite my hands when i try to push him away when he gets stubborn and will not move out of the doorway and there is no toy or snackl available.
