Is Ronni (Huff) around? I know that she was at the trial with Tobi this past week-end, but if she checks in she will see this. She is the e-collar guru & may have some suggestions.
Have you done any e-collar training with this dog? If not you will need to start from scratch, with the e-collar, for the dog to have a full understanding of what you are asking him to do.
I know nothing about ecollars, really. I've been afraid to use one, afraid my timing would be "off". I only know "Hot Shots", electric cattle prods, of which I am not a fan.
I will look at the ecollar videos.

Could an ecollar not be used for both?
I have no idea what stock training entails, but if the OP tells her dog to back off the stock and he doesn't, then there is both a stock training issue and an OB issue at play. If she tells her dog to get off the door, then there is an OB issue.
Any stock dog trainers out there who would have more info on whether they use it for both? Would there be a conflict created? Again, I don't know about "Stock training" so maybe there is something I am missing.
