The outcome of a lengthy email exchange was my question: So then a direct question “Are there any products with no ingredients from China” would be answered no?
The answer was No. I'm disappointed to report that my very direct first email (Do your products contain ingredients from China?) took three more exchanges before I could ascertain that the answer was No. A statement to the effect that their wet food for dogs, dry food for dogs, and biscuits are manufactured in the U.S. and their treats manufactured in China was followed up with my question about whether the made-in-the-U.S.A. items contained ingredients from China, and then I asked my question 'So then my direct question “Are there any products with no ingredients from China” would be answered no?' and it was was answered No.
Without directly quoting an email publicly, I can say that many points were made about the company's quality control and that my emails received prompt attention.
However, after the events of 2006 - 2010 surrounding ingredients from China (and the many problems exposed with the food-product industry in China), this is not good enough for me.
