I have purchased the Focused healing DVD hoping to take my dogs helling to another level.
In the DVD Micheal's, Cindy's and some other dog's drive and enthusiasm is high compared to my Zooey, Especially on the tug.
Zoey has a high ball drive compared to a tug but not even close to those other dogs.
Does that drive have a lot to do with breeding of a working blood line?
Or is this drive something that can be trained into my dog?
Also Zoey has no real interest in the tug, I have to entice her with the tug moving and jumping around and saying things to get her to go for it. Once she is getting the tug and if I were to stop moving around and stand there she will not pull on it with enthusiasm. She will stand there not pulling it or trying to jerk it out of my hand.
Now she won't let it go unless I say "out" she holds on even with some of the crazy things I've done to detract her to let go, but no enthusiastic pulling.
Sorry for the confusion it's probably my horrible writing.
My dog Zoey, she will be 2 years old this Sat.
In the DVD when the dog gets the tug and the handler is holding it the dog is tugging, pulling and jerking on the tug like there trying to rip it out of there hands.
Then after the dog outs the tug they jumped back towards the handler, almost putting the tug back into the handlers hands like there saying "com on man lets play some more"
My Zoey does not pull like that even with all my moving, luring, enticing her with the tug.
She prefers the orange & blue rubber chuck it ball any day over the tug, even the tug and a raw steak. Though I haven't tried the tug & steak .
Also Zoey will out the tug when I tell her to.
