Ask your vet about Traumeel for inflammation/pain? It works quite well on humans and is used on dogs. Takes time to achieve full effect as with all homeopatics.
update: Buddy has started peeing in the house, he does it while hes asleep and does it often, when he tries to go outside nothing comes out, there is blood in it. There is blood in his poo, runny yesterday, today solid but only a terd. Went in for xrays, blood work and urinalyasis. xrays showed no stones. Hes on meds for urinary tract infection, and finally had a pee outside and didnt go pee inside since we came and left this evening. Vet was this morning. Anxiously awaiting results. Thanks for all your informative and helpful replies so far, any more insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Cat,
It seems obvious that something more is going on here than just arthritis. Have you considered a coagulative disorder? You are seeing blood in both urine and feces in addition to the problems with walking. He is an old dog and some serious diseases can be observed at this point in his life. I hope that is something simple but, I would want a second opinion if this vet does not come up with something definitive. Hopefully, you will have an answer soon.
Well I got my answer, my dog is fine, theres nothing wrong with him, its just old age.....sigh....(im being sarcastic in case you couldnt tell) The blood work, urinalyasis, and x rays all came back fine, his kidneys are fine, etc, the vet said its just old age. I understand old dogs get more serious diseases and slow down etc, but being old is too broad for me, I need to know why this is all suddenly happening....
Buddy had a full poop today, no blood.
We will be going to see a second vet to see if they can figure anything out. But what do I ask to test for at this point? I dont know where to go from here seeing as how hes apparently fine....Any more great suggestions? Thanks again!!!!!

Dogs, with their shortened life spans compared to us humans, experience 0-puberty in <1 yr. Their youth is short. Sometimes, their geriatric phase is short too.
Perhaps he had a terrible urinary tract infection, now being treated with your antibiotics.
I hope you can find medications to help your dog have a peaceful old age phase.
