Well Steve I must say AKC is a different breed of its own. I never knew how much it was to it until I began this AKC journey this year. There are many many more nice people I wish you could have heard the noise around but for some reason it didn't transfer during the upload.
All distractions outside of the ring are fair game... It's the nature of the beast. To tell you the truth, my dog does best when there's lots of activity outside the ring (we've done our best to train in as many locations and on different surfaces, etc.). It' s when the room is quiet, and a door closes or something that she trips up. It's not like the schutzhund field, that's for sure!
AND... Congrats, Reggie! Laya and I are now working on Open A. Hoping to get our first qualifying score at the Buckhorn Kennel Club show this weekend. Open is fun! I hope you continue on.
