Congrats. When we did the CGC's (me and both white dogs) they seemed really lax (the judges or evaluators whatever you call them). It seemed they were more concerned about behavior than the actual obedience commands being perfect. Did you have to walk through a simulated "crowd"? One guy had crutches I though my male was gonna freak but he didn't. Since you do Schutzund I bet Dante will blow though those titles in no time. Best wishes
It never occurred to me Danke looked so close to Dante when written. Weird.
Yep. We did the crowd. Keys jingling, a guy with a walker and a guy in a wheelchair, along with several other people.
Danke mostly just wanted to make friends. *shrug* She knew a lot of the people, since they were mostly from my club, and she's literally grown up around them.
The CGC is definitely a behavior test rather than an obedience test. The closest to obedience you get is the requirement that the leash be loose at all times, the sit-stay and the recall.
Ooops I meant to type Danke, Must be watching too much General Hospital. (there's a fine speciman named Dante on the show) Yeah, the guy with the crutches was from my club too (everybody was as the club was sponsering it), but Bolt is very slow to warm, especially since he the guy always wears a hat. Then he dropped this giant book and my dog jumped. I thought he would get an NQ or not pass but I guess that's a natural reaction and as long as they don't freak and try to attack. it's OK.
Five hours!! I was a little tense with my last dog's CGC test, we were running a little late, they started as soon as we arrived. I would have been really tense if we waited five hours!
