I have the most fun with things that go fast(er). Drag race, 3-wheeler, snowmobile, water ski, kick boxing, roller and spinny rides. I really want to sky dive. Just 'being' outdoors is great too (but I tend to fall asleep).
We are going to get the biggest of the easy up type pools for next year. I would reallym love an in ground salt water pool...but one of those will have to do!
Have you seen the Splash pools Ed mentioned in the video they posted about Morgi? Saweeeet above ground pool!
and he would come up, eat out of my hand, crawl on my lap, etc
Anyone else have Captain and Tenille stuck in their head right now? I keep thinking of those lens commercials where the woman doesn't know she's got raccoons instead of cats. Wow a pet muskrat...very different.
LOL!!! Re-reading my post does make my family sound like the Klampets (Clampets?) doesn't it?? Look Earl!!! A 'nother swamp rat is out back playin' with Loretta Sue Ellen Daisy Duke! Maybe we can skin 'im for dinner when she ain't lookin!
I really grew up in a nice, normal, quasi-neurotic family.
Barbara, you sound like a lot of fun. I had a 'pet' oppossum named Mama Rat. She loved cat food and would let me pet her, she even brought her babies around to visit. (Named her Mama Rat because the first time dad ever saw her he started yelling that 'there's the biggest rat I've ever seen on the deck!' lol - poor city slicker!
I haven't been in a while, but I love scuba diving. I also LOVE white water rafting in Colorado, that had to be one of my most cherished trips.
Other than that, I enjoy reading, movies and walking my dogs when it isn't hellish hot! (It has been about 104 for over a week and it still isn't budging!)
This weekend I discovered that I could still water ski pretty darn well. I used to do it every weekend, but it had been at least 9 years since I put a pair on...I'm gonna make an effort to do it more often
(If I can walk tomorrow, it used muscles I didn't know I had )
I also reminded myself that it is probably a very good thing that I am terrified of motorcycles, because going 55-60mph down the middle of the lake, on a brand new shiny blue 240 horsepower waverunner is FUN!!!
Fun thread, how fun. Two weeks’ vacation coming up… 4 more sleeps!!
We absolutely love hiking and back-roading on our endless forest service roads in the summer. We’re preparing for another boat load of company this weekend (we seem to be a destination spot this summer for family and friends).
It’s our annual “Float for food” tube run down our big, lazy river – all tubers bring donations for the food bank. Hubby and Vince will be running one of the security boats and we floaters just relax and enjoy.
We’re planning on a “staycation” this year. Not that we can’t afford to jet set off somewhere, we just don’t want to. Life needs to slow down a bit; we just want some quality down time with our best friends – the pups.
On the quiet cold winter nights I enjoy cross-stitching. This winter I’m going to have pictures of the boys put into one of those pattern makers and stitch them.
We also hunt, camp, fish and snowmobile. We have a great target range set up on our additional property (70 acres) where we get in a lot of practice. Other than that, we own dogs because we think they are a blast, they create the majority of our enjoyment.
Oh man, the tubing sounds sooo great in this heat! We've done it years ago down in Florida and it was so relaxing!
We has a "mini staycation" this past weekend... Either ate out each night or brought in and didn't lift our fingers to do ONE thing which could be considered "work or maintenance". Yesterday we watched 5 of 6 Horatio Hornblower dvd's and they were excellent! Its been too long since we spent a day as couch potatoes and it was great!
