Got to ask, it was stated that you grab the collar to move him. Move him from what to where ?. Not to sound dumb but if he's been allowed to do certain things ie like couch sitting or laying on the bed etc , I can see that happening. I have been guilty of the couch thing out of ignorance and didn't relize what I was instilling in the dog. I also have a lab going on a year and if I grab the collar to get him down he also will open his mouth some like testing me. I don't let him do the couch thing and I have seen this in Rott's and sheppards also. I found out that I started to let him be equal to me and than if I let my behavior continue he would become my boss. Found out through Ed that it's the little things we do to our dogs that basically effects there way of thinking.Just my 2 cents about what is the dog doing to be pulled by the collar and is it something that the dog can some of the times when it's convenient for us and not at other times. I know I had to re-group with my permisive way.
