Thanks to all that have commented on this thread... I am not afraid really just want to be careful and have a way to go places by myself... I won't have any problems taking her on a bus in Guatemala or in the market there. In Mexico however I might. We are in Monterrey which has been declared one of the 14 most dangerous city's in the the world right now. This has nothing to do with Zuki however she is to young still to go anywhere with me and here it is not necessary. I am more thinking in the future. It would be most convenient to be able to take her into Hiper piez (walmart in Guatemala) and such but I think I will head for the CGC and talk to people on top when I get there. Where can I find the necessary requirements for that, the rules?
Check with your transit system. I know even in the USA some actually let dogs on them with no problems (even if they're not a service dog)
For example, I know the boston subway allows leash or bagged dogs that aren't service dogs during non rush hour times. You may not even have to worry about it....
