I have a SUPER DARK DS, who is truly brindle like he should be- but is commonly mistaken for a black GSD??? LOL. With brindle feet. and legs? I tell them he's a dutch shepherd, and people seem to think I made up the breed, cause they've never heard of it before, and insist/argue that he's just a dark color GSD.
Dark Sable is by far my fav color, but I also thought that black and tan was the 'norm' for GSD's when I was young. That was before I discovered there was another entire world of dogs I didn't know about. WORKING GSD's!! I think I was 14 when I discovered this.
