I heard an interview on the radio today of the Zucker Bros. and Jim Abrams, the writers/directors of Airplane. It was released 30 years ago this month. I didn't realize it was actually a "remake" of a 1957 movie "Zero Hour." They said people have posted clips from both movies together on YouTube, like this. I was laughing so hard again I was crying.
Funniest listener call-in was from a woman who said the Zuckers owed her for over 320 hours of her life wasted because her husband, a pilot, watches the movie over and over and over. . . every time it comes on TV.

Sounds like my dad and Blazing Saddles. I'm pretty sure I can recite the movie now. It's not as hot a skill as one would hope.
