So since I haven't had a puppy of my own younger than 6 months old, I don't really have a concept of what size collar (in terms of inches) to get him. I see a lot of puppies, but for some reason I can't really imagine how many inches their necks are! I did a search, but found no options.
I have the opportunity to get some nice stuff tomorrow, so suggestions are much appreciated! Either in inches, or sizes (the brand will be Silverfoot, which I'm sure some of you are aware of). I'm just looking to get him maybe 2 collars, one for right away, and one for in a couple months. When I pick him up, he will be 8 weeks old, and oh yes GSD!

Do you have a piece of ribbon or a flexible tape measure (like is used for sewing) which you can wrap around your dog's neck? If you have anything flexible to wrap around his neck, and anything rigid by which to measure the flexible item, you should be able to determine what collar your dog needs.
Oh, if I had him, no problem! But I don't actually get him for another 6 weeks, but have the chance to get some good stuff tomorrow... hence the problem.
