I got a new Dogtra 1900 NCP collar and was wondering which way to put it on my dog. It probably doesn't make a difference but I was wondering if the side with the blinking light should but up, or the side with the word Dogtra on it. I just want to make sure that the antenna inside gets the best range.
I use mine both ways with no problem. As I move it from one side to the other on my dogs' neck it will face up or down. I move it so that there is not any risk of irritation from the collar use. I also fasten it tightly to eliminate the chance of any irritation. It is usually the lack of proper contact with the neck that is the cause of poor transmission & not the direction that the light faces. I have a Dogtra 1702NCP that is 6 yrs old & still works fine & is used everyday when my dogs are out on the field or off my property for a run. They even go to the beach & in the water with it with no issues.
