I searched the forums for 'Clix' and 'Clix Dumbell' and having found no results in any section of the forum wanted to ask my question here. I've recently, as of yesterday, been inspired by the latest Leerburg catalog to get back into training with my dog, for both my sake and his - I know when I'm more involved in my dog's life; it is a huge stress relief (which I could sure use right now)! Work has gotten crazy, and we both need to get outdoors and back to training, and I'm sure it'd make my wife happier as well - a exercised husband and dog seem to do that.
Anyways, I'm ordering Mike Ellis' complete DVD set, including the Retrieve DVD - I understand to start with PVC to teach him to learn to hold, but then move to something else for actually working the Retrieve. I figured the Clix Dumbell would be a logical choice. My dog, Blade, is a 5 year old Black Lab/Boxer mix (hopefully I’m not getting back into training too late), weighing in around 65 lbs. Should I get a medium or large size?
Thanks,
Jonathan & Blade
p.s. If another product is more recommended for being used in retrieval I'm open to suggestions
