a question to police officers, is it a waste of your resources for a person to call and report off leash dogs potentially causing problems with an on leash dog. police are stretched everywhere is this a police /legal matter at all or a waste of time when police could be doing more important things?
JMO but I don't have a problem with it. I'm armed and can articulate exactly why I shot the charging dog if it goes after a human. Aggressive uncontrolled dogs aren't tolerated on post at all.
On the lighter side of things I spent last Thanksgiving with a young boston terrier in the back of my patrol car. It was right in the middle of a freak cold snap and he was shivering like crazy when I picked him up. Animal control wasn't working that day so it took a few door knocks to find out where he belonged. Little guy was probably about 6 months old and a total spaz but friendly. He'd slipped out the door without anybody noticing.
