It's easy if it's hanging right by the door. And yeah, peristalsis is most efficiently encouraged by exercise. One of my dogs when he finds himself outside but not quite poop-ready will actually run back and forth in the yard to stimulate the action ... back and forth, back and forth, sudden squat. lol

Also - he often has to take two poops on the first walk of the morning, but not close together. Yup - his morning poop walks take about 30 - 45 min. But then he is good for the rest of the day. If he doesn't get that second poop out on the first walk, I know he is going to have to go out again mid-morning. I have read that they are more likely to go in an area that is not their usual haunt. It is very rare for Jethro to eliminate within 2 blocks of home.
