It's kind of a famous talking point for Cheverny. I understand they do that at 5pm for the tourists and the other dog meal of the day is separate individual dishes in their kennel on the grounds.
I understand it that their foxhound program is well regarded. No idea how many dogs they have in their program but I know that a few years ago they had at least 4 full time staff just for them.
I've never been comfortable with pack feeding, you can't quickly locate a sick dog, when I had four, two of them had diet needs and the other two are uber bitches that would push the others out of the way. With pack that large I guess there is no other way to do it

Yes, that's VERY different from CM's pack feeding, where each dog has a bowl and the calmest dog is fed first. No dog is allowed to approach another one's bowl. The food belongs to the dog who Cesar gave it to. Period.

I don't like that video, but what do I know. Great program or not, the giggling of the "spectators" creeped me out. So did the pileup around the food.
I don't know a thing about pursuit hounds, especially in any sort of numbers which I'm sure changes the entire dynamic. I'm sure there is some kind of point to the exercise of it all besides entertaining the tourists.
It's just not a scene you see much in the USA much outside of Colorado's plains.
