My wife and I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays during this season. Thank you to all the moderators and fellow members for all the help and concern throughout 2010 with our Louie. Having a sounding board/support group/community like this one is invaluable for both newbie dog owners (us) and experienced folks alike. Hope everyone has a great end of the year!
I second that! Have a very merry Christmas and may our pups and family members respect each other as they come in contact this holiday.
Thank you Ed for all you have done to bring us this board and all those great training videos. I do not train german shepherds but my terriers have benefited greatly from the knowledge you have passed on. Thank you and may your family have a very Merry Christmas! The Empson family May God bless America!
While eating out tonight at a family type restaurant, we noticed a young family with four young boys, and couldn't help but watch them off and on during dinner. Real nice family; kids well behaved and mom and dad were just so nice to each other - you don't always see that these days. We asked our waitress if she could find out if he was miliary (it was right outside Nellis Airforce base and he "looked" military). Sure enough, he was.
We asked to pay his bill - without their knowledge. We then got into our car and sat out front watching them through the windows. It was such a HOOT to see the look on their faces when the waitress gave them a note we had written on a small piece of paper - just "Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thank you for your service". The husband and wife just kept grinning at each other. He gave her a squeeze around her shoulders and handed her the note which she tucked into her wallet.
I do NOT share this as a "look what we did" - far from it in fact. It is shared because it made US feel so darn good to do something so easy and simple for one of our military families. We don't live in this area; we'll never see them again, but the looks on their faces absolutely made our Christmas. It doesn't take much to spread the cheer.

Merry Christmas.
That is so beautiful!
I would also like to wish every a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and every other holiday that is to be celebrated. This board has changed a lot of my views (for the better), and has taught me more than a silly little school. If it weren't for all of your support (to me and to others) I would not be the "trainer" I am today. Thanks again!
