A few people have asked me how much Vader weighs and I was just having to guess since he hadn't been weighed in several months. I had to go to the vet's clinic yesterday to get a replacement rabies tag and asked them if I could weigh him. He officially weighs 62.2 lbs at 7 months old!! Any guess on how much more he'll grow? His father is 90 lbs and his brother is even bigger. I can post pics of them if needed, but I'd like some educated opinions on how big he might be when fully grown. He's large but is still very lanky and thin. He's not underweight...just looks like a gawky teenager
I'm not sure there is a way to "predict" his adult weight but it is probably safe to assume it is going to be somewhere between 62 and around 90. I know, I know... not a lot of help - but as long as he is trim and healthy I wouldn't worry about what he might be in 2 years.

Let's see, if I count back, Jethro's last weigh in was Dec 10 and we calculate his age to be 10 months and he was 75 lb. He has been gaining a steady 5 pounds every month since he was 4 months old. At 8 months he was 65 lb. That makes his top weight approximately 81.25 lb. Which means he has almost finished putting on weight, his 11 month weigh in is coming up in a few days. I know he has grown in the last month, I've had to loosen his collars again and his rain coat is starting to look a little short.
