Julie Sloan Webboard User Reg: 10-12-2010 Posts: 510 Loc: Offline	I have been poking around at some of the posts about raw feeding questions and realized I had one. Ever since my boy was a puppy, he has been chewing and consuming pressure boiled knuckle bones/shank bones/etc. I get them from a very reputable company, not the grocery store bones. BUT, even though I am not yet feeding raw, do I need to be somehow "balancing" out his diet with SOME raw meat, or cooked meat for that matter to maintain the ratios he needs. I don't mean the dog eats a bone every day, sometimes he chews a lot, sometimes a little, sometimes he gets a lot of marrow out of something, sometimes not, it varies greatly. ???

We pulled the bones repeatedly to see if they had any effect on the poop, though, and it doens't matter one way or the other. We had them pulled for a couple weeks at a time. Even with that, though, I still watch how much he chews in a day and take them if I think he has had them long enough.
