I wouldn't say the breeding itself is a recipe for disaster. There are lots of husky-shepherd mixes already in existence. Mals are less common, but mixing sibes and mals is nothing like hybrid wolves. Mother nature had nothing to do with it. There's no genetic issues stopping two canids from producing young, hence coy-dogs, hybrid wolves, and chihauhua-boxer mixes. Heck, polar bears can produce young with grizzly bears.
Some mushers already have malinois in their dogs. Haven't heard that these dogs are killers.
On the other hand, the breeder, with a goal to produce killer dogs- disgusting. Also, sibes, not mals would be more likely to overheat, until temps drop below 10 F maybe. And, yeah, did someone forget the GSD? Given the mix of breeds, I doubt these will be the next designer dog. Stupid breeder, and irresponsible article.
