I'm in the process of moving this month (feb), but I'll try and participate, whether it's a contest or "challenge" (difference?)
No voting or prizes, nor does it have to be a NEW behavior. This will allow all skill levels to post/participate and hopefully us newbies will get lots of input/advice.
Just a "challenge" to work on and post your videos on a specific behavior so we can all see different dogs working on the same thing, regardles of skill level. Whadda ya' think?
Well, I'm personally more motivated by deadlines, competition, judging, etc. - but that's just me! Plus, I tend to post video's for general critique as it is. I will still try and participate if I have time though.
If someone would like to organize a competion for this and organize the voting/prizes/different levels of skills, please do so! I'm not trying to limit anything - just am not personally up for doing so this month - but am absolutely FINE with anyone else doing so!!

Edit reason: typo
I don't think we need prizes, and I appreciate your past efforts!
Maybe a couple assigned tasks for different levels? Some of the tracking "experts" might have ideas. The puppy circle is a good one for beginners for sure, and scent discrimination is also cool for any level. I'm not in any position to coordinate this month either, so who am I to say?
I don't do Schutzhund anymore but when I did...I taught articles off the track & then added them on the track later on when regulation SchH I length tracks were solid.
I would then add them onto longer II & III length tracks once those tracks were solid.
What I should have added (that's what happens when you are in a hurry. I had company coming)...I introduced the articles off the track & then would do some very short tracks in my yard & intoduce them on those tracks & then put them onto the regulation tracks when they(the reg tracks) were solid.
This method worked for my female because she is a VERY,very, hard, very intense drive dog & would blow thru the articles on the regulation tracks, regardless of corrections,(even high e-collar corrections)if I just put them on there to start articles. She is SO VERY intense & tunnel visioned when she tracks or searches, that she will disreguard everything except the track. So we needed to be more creative in ways of getting her to indicate articles.
She would have made a great SAR dog. She will hunt until she finds her toy or drops. Whichever comes first.
My male, I introduced articles off the track & then added them to the track. He was easy.
