I have a 3 year old Aussie. She really needs to bite, or nip at strangers. She responds to my voice commands well.
When I see her nipping at strangers, I can call her off, IF she can hear me. Her aggression factor does make me want to get rid of her. However, I am all alone here, and isolated. Upon hearing about a breakin or other neg, story, I think this dog is worth her weight in gold.
If I spank her, and she decides she has had enough of me she looks at me, and bares her teeth and growls. She has the biggest dam teeth you have ever seen--even the vet mentioned this!
I just need a little advice on keeping her out of trouble, and of course me too. Thanks, signed Marcella (the newbie)
I do not know why you would allow a dog that you know bites to be loose and out of ear shot. You need to train this dog and get control of it. Read the articles on my web site about dominaint dogs and take a look at a prong collar and my Basic Dog Obedience video
I am closing this thread - there is nothing else that needs to be said about this situation.
