What is the best way to break the play biting habit my pup has gotten into, he only does it with me, i think he wants to play tug with me and that is why he does it, only problem is it isnt time for me to play tug!!!! i try the TSSST sound i use for all other displeasurs but this dosent work he wants to nip me quite often.
Matt if this is the seven month old pup and being raised as a companion dog I would keep him on a line or leash and when he begins the play biting hook him to a door knob or something stable and walk away so he can't continue.
Since I've never raised a working or sport dog if that is your situation I would wait for more experienced responses.
