Well, if Jean Donaldson says so...... Is this the same Jean Donaldson who dosen't subscribe to the "pack" theory?
The point is I don't really care whether the dog is intending to miss or not. A dog who snaps is going to eventually bite someone unless the problem is dealt with immedietly and effectively.
I understand Pamela's story. Sure, the child could have been watched better. When though, do we decide that it's time to stop searching for excuses for this dog? The stale-ometer is rising. Sorry folks...I had a bad day, I'm a little grouchy.
That doesn't stop you from being right. The problem here was the child was unsupervised, and the dog was not adequately supervised. This is one of those typical situations that shouldn't have happened. Whether or not the dog intended to bite, isn't the issue. The issue is that it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
If you can't be a Good Example, then You'll just have to Serve as a Horrible Warning. Catherine Aird.
